Nintendo has confirmed that the 3DS XL will be releasing in Europe on July 28th and August 19th in the US. It has a 4.88 inch screen and it is 90% larger than the screen on the 3DS. It will be the largest screen ever featured on any Nintendo Handheld. Also, the bottom screen is larger at 4.18 inches. In Europe, it will be available in three colors including red, blue or silver and will not be shipped with a AC adapter. The adapter can be purchased separately or is compatible with the charging cradle if you don’t already have 3DS or DSi charger. However, the US release will only be available in red or silver and will include a AC adapter and a 4GB SD Card, like the European model. The battery life has also been improved as it will play 3DS games for 3.5 to 6.5 hours and DS games for 6 to 10 hours. So stay tuned to NGN for all the latest 3DS and gaming news.
