Last week, plans were leaked for a couple new models of the Playstation 4. Today, Microsoft officially revealed a new model for the Xbox One. The new model will have a matte black finish, and will have a 1 TB hard drive included. The 1TB model will sell for $399. What does this mean for the 500 GB models? I’m glad you asked. Those models will be sold for $349, knocking the price down about $50. The 1TB models will start shipping June 16 in the U.S and later this month in select markets. The price drop for the 500 GB models is effective immediately.

The good news doesn’t stop there for Xbox fans either. Along with the new models of the console, newly designed controllers will be released as well. The new controller will feature a 3.5mm stereo jack that lets you plug a headset right into the controller. Gamers will have the option to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring, and voice and game audio balance through the Settings menu on their console. In addition to that, the new controller will have fine-tuned the bumpers and enabled wireless firmware updates on the updated controller which eliminates having to connect the controller via USB cable to receive updates. The new controllers will come in black and a camouflage design in silver and black with the Xbox One Special Edition Covert Forces Wireless Controller. The black will be sold for $59.99, while the camouflage designed one will be sold for $64.99.

For PC gamers that use controllers, the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 will be available this fall for $24.99 and will also be bundled with an XBox One controller for $79.95.

This comes out a week before E3, so you can imagine Microsoft will have more in store at the big show. Let us know what you guys think in the comment section below and for all things gaming, stay right here to New Gamer Nation.
