Director of GAME FREAK Inc. and game developer Junichi Masuda has just revealed new Pokémon types which will be available in both Pokémon X and Pokémon Y during Paris’s Japan Expo. The special video message (below) contained details on an all-new Pokémon, Honedge, along with Masuda-san’s personal insights into his inspiration for the game.
Honedge comes into being when a departed spirit possesses a sword that once belonged to humans.The blue cloth that is attached to its hilt can wrap around a Pokémon trainer’s arm and drain their energy. Honedge can learn the attack Sword Dance (normal), which uplifts the fighting spirit and raises the user’s Attack stat and it can be used multiple times to further buff attack.
Look for both Pokémon X and Pokémon Y to launch worldwide on October 12, 2013 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
