Blizzard has just released patch 1.0.8 which was supposed to increase¬†the maximum stack size of “player sold” gold from 1 million to 10 million. While the patch was a welcome sight for some, it also introduced a new bug that allowed players to duplicate their stack placed on the “real money” auction house by cancelling the listing. Eventually, the bug spread and forced Blizzard to take down the auction house. Blizzard has promised to go after those that took advantage of the exploit in lieu of server rollbacks.
