Blizzard Entertainment has been hinting at a new character for the popular shooter Overwatch for quite some time, but now we know exactly who that character is. Orisa, a guardian robot who has been programed by inventor Eli Oladele after the attacks by Doomfist. You can watch Orisa “Orgin Story” Trailer below.

Orisa will be part of the tank class and will aid her allies on the battlefield with protective shields and buffs. “Orisa serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates from the frontline with a protective barrier. She can attack from long range, fortify her own defenses, launch graviton charges to slow and move enemies, and deploy a Supercharger to boost the damage output of multiple allies at once.”
For more info on Orisa you can check out her character page on Playoverwatch.com. Blizzard also released a video that gives a deeper look into Orisa’s backstory and abilities.
Orisa marks Overwatch’s 24th character and Blizzard plans to continue supporting the game with even more new characters and maps. Blizzard has not given a date for Orisa, but those who want try out the new hero right now are in luck. The PC public test realm that just launched will include Orisa and the newest patch. The new patch will also be getting the kinks worked out in the test realm, so be prepared for some changes if you go that route.
