With King of Fighters 13 finally releasing on September 13th on Steam, in a surprise move, SNK has announced via Facebook that the closed beta has been extended through September 6 due to community feedback. If you still want to get into this closed beta, if you pre-purchase the game through Steam, you will gain instant access, in addition to getting a $5 discount off the total price of the game.
The Steam version of King of Fighters 13 differs from the original console release by adding an improved online, story, and tutorial modes, while also adding “Iori with the Power of Flames”, “NESTS Style Kyo”, and “Mr. Karate” DLC characters playable from the start
