just dance 2014 e3

Just Dance has been one of those series that just hooks people in once they start moving and grooving and Ubisoft has seen much success with the franchise already. To keep the momentum going with the next gen consoles arriving later this year, Ubisoft has announced at E3 that Just Dance 2014 is currently in development and will be available for all current and next-gen platforms (including the Wii U).

Just Dance is back in a big way, especially with the expanded capabilities that next-gen hardware provides to our development team. We’re building on what has successfully made Just Dance a staple in homes around the world—the best music, dance moves and party experience—but with Just Dance 2014 we’re creating a game that is far more feature-rich and technically advanced than ever before.

- Tony Key, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, Ubisoft

Just Dance 14 will feature more than 40 new tracks ranging from current Billboard hits to classic dance party tracks in multiple genres including pop, hip-hop, rock, R&B, funk, and more. Some of the released titles include (with video preview of gameplay at the bottom of this article):

  • Feel This Moment—Pitbull ft. Christina Aguilera
  • Pound The Alarm—Nicki Minaj
  • Starships – Nicki Minaj
  • Kiss You—One Direction
  • She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)—David Guetta ft. Sia
  • Turn Up The Love—Far East Movement ft. Cover Drive
  • Troublemaker—Olly Murs ft. Flo Rida
  • Gentleman—PSY
  • Candy—Robbie Williams
  • I Will Survive—Gloria Gaynor

As for notable upgrades in the game go, World Dance Floor is the biggest one that has been announced so far, allowing players to join a virtual dance crew for Just Dance’s first online multiplayer mode. Join up with your friends or against random people online and compete based on different themes, track your standing with global leaderboards, check out stats about other players, and see community updates.

Additionally Puppet Master Mode on Wii U has been upgraded to Party Master mode, giving additional options on the Wii U GamePad, including being able to choose the next dance move, pick new songs, and even dish out silly challenges to up to four other players.

Look for Just Dance 2014 October 1 in EMEA, October 4 in the UK, and October 8 here in the US for the current generation platforms, while it will be available at launch for the PS4 and Xbox One and check out the gameplay footage for several songs below.
