Oculus has just confirmed that John Carmack, formerly of id Software, has joined the company as the Chief Technology Officer of the company. Oculus has also announced that they just opened up a Dallas office where Carmack will work and they are currently looking to hire new talent for the project. Carmack was always very supportive of the technology and even announced that Doom 3 would be compatible with the device.
