Once again the indie games were in full force at PAX Prime this past weekend. One that shined especially bright in my eyes was Heart Machine’s Hyper Light Drifter. The 2D, action RPG with a pixel-art style was right up my alley and once I got to play it, I was hooked. The exploration and difficult gameplay brought me back to my roots as a gamer.

Pre-orders are currently available for PC and Mac, but console gamers should have no fear as a launch for PS4 and Xbox One are planned in the near future. For now, check out our interview with gameplay programmer Beau Blythe followed by some screenshots below.
