If you’ve been following the GameStick campaign on Kickstarter, you know they have been through some hurdles. However, it seems the worst is behind them as they revealed a new, sleeker design and a new docking station. As you can see above, the new controller has more curves to fit the hand better. They also redesigned the controller to give the users a better experience, playing with new textures, thicknesses and functions.

They also moved the OS from the stick to the controller so it is more portable and less has to be done to play. They also added a 32GB MicroSD card slot for game saves and storing specific game information. One of the bigger additions, is the docking station.  It allows you to charge the unit and it also stores an additional memory card, expanding the total memory of the unit. Finally, there is an accessory port that allows you to add a peripheral to the system via the controller.

PlayJam has definitely improved the GameStick and it is a more appealing console than it was when it was announced. Take a look at the specifics here or check out the campaign here.
