Kickstarter today shared some statistics from their campaigns that showed us all how good this platform was to the industry.
- About 561,000 backers contributed $83 million to 2,796 submitted projects in the video gaming space
- Only 911 projects were successfully funded
- The most popular game was Tim Schafers adventure game project with $3.3 million dollars
- Video games contributed the most money to Kickstarter as a whole with about 25% of the total contributions
