Beyond – Quantic Dreams started off the conference with their new title Beyond. We don’t know much about this title, but we do know that Ellen Paige will play the lead role. We also saw a quick trailer showing off some of the technology we saw with the Kara tech demo released a few weeks ago. This game also seems a lot more action packed than Heavy Rain. Either way this game looks great and with Quantic Dream leading the way I am sure there will be plenty to love about this game. Since it is a PS3 exclusive, this may be another reason to get a PS3 if you don’t have one by now.

Playstation All Stars Battle Royale – Fighting fans, this game is for you. Playstation opens the vault and places all of its mascots against one another in this fighting game. During the conference, they started by announcing that this title will be available for the Playstaion Vita and will be cross compatible with the PS3 version. This game does heavily resemble Smash Brothers but the graphics are heavily improved. There are also special moves in the game that allow players to pick up more kills. Towards the end of the presentation, they announced two new playable characters Drake and the big daddy from Bioshock. Great announcements and a good looking game for up to four players.

LittleBigPlanet 2 Control – If you are a big LBP player, you may be interested to know that more content and control are coming to a PS3 near you. You will now be able to use the Vita to control the game. With this DLC, you’ll not only be able to use the Vita to build levels and control your character, but you’ll get new content including more story levels and more multiplayer levels.

Vita Offerings – They did announce that PS1 classics are moving to the Vita lineup as well as Hulu+ and Crackle. If you own a Vita, you’ll have access to new services and games shortly.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified announced for the Vita. No information was released about this title, but we do know that it is coming soon.

Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation is coming to the Playstation Vita, it is a companion game to the major release, Assassin’s Creed 3. This title will feature a female assassin for the first time. This game is coming on October 30th, and a new Vita bundle will be offered that packages this game in with a new Vita system.

Assassin’s Creed 3 - We have seen information on this game before, but they wanted to give gamers a closer look at the title with some exclusive new footage of the sea battles you will have access to in the game. They showed some gameplay of the sea battles, and you will act as captain of an 18th century vessel. You’ll be able to control the heading of the ship as well as the weapons. The trailer was intense, and the naval battles were quite engaging and a nice surprise for the game. They also announced that a bundle will be created around Assassin’s Creed, as well.

Far Cry 3 – We learned about this game at the Ubisoft conference, but we just learned of a four player co-op mode and a map editor for those that like to create their own content.

WonderBook – A book that uses augmented reality to tell stories in a new way. They announced a new partnership with JK Rowling and Pottermore to release a new book for WonderBook called “Book of Spells”. The spell descriptions and text was written by Rowling herself while the game was influenced by the Harry Potter universe. The game itself is like a textbook that teaches you how to cast spells. You then use these spells to progress through a campaign all within the augmented reality environment. It looks great, and any Potter fans will certainly appreciate this title. Look for the book and game this coming holiday season.

God of War Ascension – We were treated to some gameplay of one of the most anticipated titles on the PS3, God of War Ascension. The game looks like it stuck to its roots with the classic hack-and-slash gameplay. However, there is a new mode that changes the game for the franchise, multiplayer. God of War is no longer a single player campaign, and we aren’t sure how to feel about it. However, the game itself looks amazing and is everything you’d expect from this title and more. Check out the trailer to see what we are talking about but until then look for this game March 12, 2013.

The Last of Us – Survival action at its finest. We finally get to see how this game is going to play, and we have to say that the environments look amazing. A post apocalyptic landscape crawling with beautiful ruins and dangerous foes. The trailer that was shown focused on the exploration aspects of the game where you have to find what you need to survive. Of course, there is still combat but this time you don’t have plenty of ammo to kill everyone. You will have to be selective and silently take out your enemies while scavenging their supplies. This game did have a Naughty Dog feel to it, but that is only a good thing. The game also features a crafting system where you collect items that can be combined to make new items. The game looks very intense and should be one of the better games coming out for the system.

Overall, Sony managed to impress us here at New Gamer Nation with a robust offering of new titles for the Vita and PS3. Again, there were no hardware announcements as expected, but if you love Playstation there was plenty to admire. The God of War title looks great and “The Last of Us” really impressed with its gritty and visceral environment. This was a strong conference for Sony, and they are leading our rankings as the best of E3. Let’s see what Nintendo has to say tomorrow morning.
