EA Sports has just signed a new deal with the Collegiate Licensing Company. The CLC handles is in charge of trademark licensing and marketing services for universities. This deal will allow EA Sports to gain access to more than 150 colleges, conferences and bowl games including graphics and titles.
This announcement comes on the heels of EA Sports executive vice president Andrew Wilson stating that EA Sports will continue making college football games without the NCAA logo or trademarks. This new deal with the CLC is certainly a step in the right direction.
