Red Thread Games recently released the newest trailer for the highly anticipated game, Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey. Fans of this long-awaited sequel have been clamoring for the next installment after the infamous cliffhanger of an ending of the previous game that was released in 2006. It’s been a long wait for adventure fans, but the wait is almost over. Red Thread went to the highly popular crowd-funding site, Kickstarter, for some help from the fans. Not only does this allow them to make the game they want, but more importantly, the game you want. As of the publishing of this article, the Kickstarter has already ended. Don’t worry though, as fans have funded 180% of the project. That means that Red Thread will receive almost double what they were originally expecting to acquire.

At the $1,100,000 mark, the team at Red Thread decided to create an Interactive Graphic Novel to help assist and refresh newcomers and veterans alike with the story so far in the Dreamfall and The Longest Journey series. The funding reached other goals as well, including an improved soundtrack, more voiceovers, and a director’s cut edition. Recently, the game became available on Steam Greenlight, Valve’s new service where you vote on games you wish to see for sell on Steam. Without a doubt, fans will make sure this becomes a reality much like with the initial funding of the project. The trailer, which you can also watch at their Kickstarter site, has an overview for the game, explaining the basics and lore of the series’ story.
