Activision has just announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts has just sold $1 billion dollars worth of product on Day 1. “Call of Duty is by far the largest console franchise of this generation,” said CEO Bobby Kotick in a prepared statement. “More people have played Call of Duty this year than ever before, logging four billion hours of gameplay.”
This is certainly an impressive number and it is already giving Grand Theft Auto V a run for its money. Well done Activision & Infinity Ward, well done.
