Kotaku has released a report today that says that the next major release for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, will feature two main characters. However, one of those characters will be female. The two main characters are Jacob and Evie Frye and they are siblings. Ubisoft has taken some heat when it was revealed that Assassin’s Creed Unity did not contain a playable female character. While there was a female protagonist for Assassin’s Creed Liberations, there hasn’t been a major console release with a prominent female role.

More detailed are expected on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate later today.
