Another Dead Island Riptide Collectors Edition Announced Exclusively for UK

If you live in the United Kingdom, and you’ve been interested in Dead Island Riptide, Deep Silver made this just for you. Introducing the Dead Island Riptide: Zombie Bait Edition, available exclusively in the UK. This edition of the game will retail for £99.99 ($160). The main selling point is obviously the bikini-clad statue you get with the set. The statue is hand-painted, measures 31cm X 18.5cm and according to Deep Silver, the statue is a “grotesque take on an iconic Roman marble torso sculpture.” In addition to the statue, you get a steel book case for the game, collectible artwork cards, and an “exclusive” pack of weapon mods. US gamers can import this version or just buy the cheaper Rigor Mortis version.

      It was originally announced as a UK exclusive. It wasn’t until they apologized that they said it would be in Europe and Australia. If you don’t believe me, check out the other reports.

        The clear fact they said “announced for Europe and Australia” in their statement means that it was not originally a UK exclusive, the word announced being in past tense meaning that when they revealed the edition they revealed it for release in Europe and Australia.

        And even it is was an exclusive originally that doesn’t mean your article and other articles should not be updated with new information as it is released.

          You are quoting a statement from the twitter account of Deep Silver which was done in the heat of the moment. The edition was only officially announced for the UK market via the press release which we reported accurately. It wasn’t until Deep Silver tweeted the apology that we learned there were plans to release this edition in Australia at some point later on. It is still not officially announced for that region and updating the article would be based on speculation right now. Once we receive official word from Deep Silver (with whom we reached out to), a new article will be released. With all the backtracking going on, I wouldn’t be surprised if the plans changed quite a bit.
