After over five years of weekly content releases and 4,000 individual tracks, Harmonix, developer of Rock Band, will release their final bit of DLC on April 2nd. The Rock Band franchise was over developed several years ago with the battle between Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Now that the dust has settled and both franchises are not being developed anymore, Harmonix is looking for greener pastures. In order to make the transition, they had to stop making Rock Band DLC. This doesn’t mean that they will not produce new DLC in the future, it just marks a suspension in regular, weekly DLC drops and there are no more planned content drops coming anytime soon.

Harmonix did want to stress that Rock Band is, and will still be, 100% functional and there will be no suspensions in service or support for the game.
